I think of the first blood transfusion that god performed. That was when he took the rib from Adam and made the rib into the woman, Eve. It's a known medical fact that our ribs make red blood cells until we die. Was that the first blood transfusion or not? You decide!

Let's talk about Blood again....
by stuckinarut2 ini know we have all talked about this topic before, but for some new ones on the forum, or to refresh ourselves, i wanted to start this thread.. the society likes to go on about the sacredness of blood, and how it should not be transfused etc.. they liken it to a symbol of life itself.
something that should be respected and therefore not transfused.. but, what is more important: real life, or a symbol of life?.
an illustration came to mind.. if we give a bunch of flowers to a loved one as a symbol of our love for them, are those flowers more important than the love itself?

Some prayers really annoy me
by stillin ini realize that prayer is a really personal thing, but representing a group in prayer has become so full of cliche's that i just want to vomit sometimes.
co week almost every prayer has the phrase "special week of activity" in it.. then there's "please look after the sick and afflicted.".
not so much anymore, "please bless this food and the hands that prepared it.".

We had an elder that would go on and on. At the very end of his prayer he would close with "and we pray all this through the faithful and discreet slave and your son, Jesus. Amen! Dion, your an ass!

Elder "D": Catholics No Longer Believe in a Trinity
by Saename inso in this topic, i mentioned i had a conversation with an elder "d." this elder said that the catholic church admitted the trinity is unscriptural.
i'm pretty sure this is not true.
the doctrine of trinity is the most fundamental belief in the catholic church.

Witnesses are no different. They believe in 1) Jesus 2) Abbadon and 3) Michael. All three in one! -

Even the side effects long after the treatments are hell. Some are for the rest of their lives. I thought I was doing great until six months after and I ended up with raynaud's along with all my veins blown up in my hands and feet. It's been nine months and it's just getting worse going from one specialist to another. From ulcers, to food not going through quick enough. Hands, arms, feet and legs are extremely weak. Absolutely no energy!
I was diagnosed with cholangiocarsinoma. Cancer in the billiaries in the liver. Two thirds of the liver was removed along with the gallbladder. The way I feel now, I wish I was just dead. Cancer is NOT to be taken lightly.
Cofty is dead on with what he is saying. He gets it like the rest of us who got it.

Interesting Take on Vows
by konceptual99 inso yesterday was the wt on vows.. it spoke, in part about two vows.
the vow you make in dedication and the vow of marriage.
here's how it describes them.. the most important vow that a christian can make is the one with which he dedicates his life to jehovah.

There were two unbaptized that got married in the Elmira, On kingdom hall. they were only a year in the religion. An elder said it was better to marry them soon or they were afraid that this couple would have sex before marriage. They were only nineteen years old. After four years, the kid was made an elder.
Anything goes when the elders like you.

New teaching =There was no "Faithful slave" for 1900 years until Charles Russell!!
by Witness 007 inshocking video from jw.org shows the "new light" that there was no slave class handing out spiritual food for 1900 years!!
so the original governing body became apostate and fell apart.
charles russell re-started the faithful slave even though the watchtower admits he learned everything he ever knew from the "second adventists".

Watch them change the number of the 144,000 since there were no FDS until 1919. More bull crap to come.

I had read in their mags that from 33ce to when the temple was torn down in 70ce, that is when the FDS existed. Then there were no FDS until 1919. If that's the case, then from the book of Jude to Revelations, these books were not inspired even though some of them start off as Peter a bondservant or slave or Jude who also was a slave. These books were written from 70AD and on. When there were no FDS to give them the proper food at the right time???????? You might as well rip those books out of the bible then.

Thank you, Susan for letting us know. Your never ready to hear news like this however with Grace, she wanted to and was ready to leave this earth. She use to make me laugh when I would call or go over and see her. She could never remember my real name but as soon as I would say it's me, Label Licker, she would laugh and we would then be at her table looking over pics of her and her family. She was very proud of all of them.
It was Grace who introduced me to this site and for that I will never forget her plus her love for all of us who had been deeply hurt and wounded. You could go to her and feel safe coming away knowing your not the only one and that everything will be ok.
Good night, Grace and god bless. Now you can rest. The used bookstores will also miss you:)

Hubby got asked the loyalty questions
by atacrossroads inafter hubby skipped out on the memorial his parents and close friends started getting more assertive with him.
before they took on the role of the concerned let me rescue you from your apostate wife's clutches.
it's 100% my fault he stopped being a witness according to the inlaws.

Smiddy is dead on. They can't defend their faith against someone who questions it. We were asked at the back of the hall by the cobe that same question so hubby threw the question right back in his face. When asked don't you believe in the faithful and discreet slave, hubby answered don't you? The cobe didn't didn't answer. He was put on the spot and asked us if we would go into another room to talk and we said no. Then their stalking began. Throw their questions right back into their faces and watch what they really think of their troof.
